Hard boiled eggs and any other kind of egg are a healthy snack. They are loaded with protein, as another person mentioned. They are rich in choline(contained in the yolk), which provides a multitude of cellular benefits. Eggs are a good source of vitamin B12. Numerous studies have shown they do not significantly affect cholesterol levels, and as another person said the data on cholesterol is controversial anyway. The liver is the biggest manufacturer of cholesterol, and it's essential for our health. Eggs help prevent blot clots, which aids in the prevention of heart disease, etc.
The organic eggs you find in many major grocery stores often have labels describing eggs as rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, the really healthful kind. Lots of benefits to eating hard-boiled eggs.

They are a high quality protein snack. However, if you have high blood cholesterol, then you should not eat the yolk. Hard boiled egg whites are a wonderful source of protein.

Yes....but make sure they are laid by chickens that have not been given growth hormones and injections of antibiotics. Buy the brown ones that say they're from free roaming or cage free chickens. These eggs are high in omega 3 fatty acids and are a very healthy high protein snack.

YES!!! Hard-boiled eggs are one of the best things you can eat. They're high in protein and monounsaturated fat, which is a fat your body NEEDS for processing of certain nutrients. Monounsaturated fat also helps lower your overall cholesterol, raise your "good" cholesterol, and lower your "bad" cholesterol. Don't buy what you may hear or read about cholesterol -- just because something is high in cholesterol doesn't mean it'll raise your cholesterol. In fact, you'll have more cholesterol problems eating foods with refined flour in them than you will with eggs.

Yes they are. I get them all the time, but I do not like the yolk and it is high in cholesterol, but you still get all the protein from the white.
