Hey,

I need the verse in the bible that describes "God the Father"'s image and his thrown...I just remember gems, sapphire, and a sea of crystal.

I believe it's either in Revelation or Daniel, but I'm not sure...

And, I'm not talking about this one:

"And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength." (Revelation 1:12-16 KJV)

Daniel 7:9 “ I watched till thrones were put in place,
And the Ancient of Days was seated;
His garment was white as snow,
And the hair of His head was like pure wool.
His throne was a fiery flame,
Its wheels a burning fire."

Ezekiel 1:26 And above the firmament over their heads was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like a sapphire stone; on the likeness of the throne was a likeness with the appearance of a man high above it. 27 Also from the appearance of His waist and upward I saw, as it were, the color of amber with the appearance of fire all around within it; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw, as it were, the appearance of fire with brightness all around. 28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD.

Here's another like what you described, but it speaks of Jesus:

Rev. 4:2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. 3 And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. 4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6 Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal.

Peace.

The closest I can get, based on the description of gems and a sea of crystal would be this...

"And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald." - Revelation 4: 3 (the sea of crystal is in verse 6)

As far as the description of the sapphire is concerned, it could be the reference in Ezekiel 1: 26-27. The book of Daniel does describe a glorious man (chapter 10), though it is more likely to be a messenger of God rather than God Himself.

Rev. 4:1-4 describes God's throne as a throne surrounded by sapphire and a sea of crystal in front. You might also want to look at Ezekiel chapter one which is sometimes considered a similar account of God's throne. However, there is no reference to a "description of God". Remember God is Spirit (John 4:24); He is an invisible God (I Tim. 1:17). But when we get to heaven, then we will see him as He is (I John 3:2). God Bless You.

In the New Testament, Jesus had said, "When you see me you have seen the Father." That means that God the Father is a perfected Holy Man of flesh and bone as His Son is.

I have no doubts that this is true.

Rev. 4

1After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this." 2At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. 3And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian. A rainbow, resembling an emerald, encircled the throne. 4Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. 5From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. Before the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a] of God. 6Also before the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.
In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. 7The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. 8Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." 9Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, 10the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
11"You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being."

God Bless!

Perhaps, like Daniel had "night visions"(night mares), notably from reading a Mosaic book(s) of law, and such "son of man" spoken "abomination of desolation" therein "should repent"(Numbers 23:19) or else finally be told shut up and seal it (perhaps both the book and the mouth of a man defiling and condemning himself with such law law)...

Perhaps being "such like", ye(do err) are thinking of, wondering where, such a nasty God Father on "high" in plural dividead law law "heavens" is described?? The answer is many places, like in Jeremiah 23: 33, 39 it twice notes "I will forsake you", the latter time including "and the city I gave you, and your fathers". Evidently it's not only a "fall" from grace to fall into the hands of this God, but also a fear(hath torment)full thing whether on the left or right hand of such law worketh wrath either side of law law.

Above such law law, is "God in heaven"("higher than the heavens", "far above the heavens"), who is our Father, which art, in heaven, hallowed be his name: Grace. And at his throne, notably "the throne of grace", only "mercy" is "obtain"-able, and also "help", and "in time": To The Hebrews 4:16. And what's also noted about such throne in such heaven, is only us of them/us come boldly(not fearfully) to such a throne, and on behalf of brethren all (not some only), since there is obviously "no respect of persons with God". Perhaps if ya come wavering, perhaps childishly tossed to<->fro by such law<->law, ya get nothing from God, as dblemindead folk notably get from God in James 1.

Perhaps then, the higher power of high/higher powers, is grace of law/grace, and that God (all light, no darkness at all) was in Christ (the end of the law) reconciling the world unto himself: the God of all grace (all grace, no law at all), notably by NOT imputing their trespasses unto them (fallen into such hands). For that God knows law imputed sin makes sinners all by the curse of the law, none righteous, no, not one. For God is one. And we all are one, not one proselyte is an oxyMORON with a BAD end.

The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I hope you're not actually trying to establish what God looks like because no one can know. You have to remember that the images in both Daniel and in Revelations where DREAM images. Dream images are usually always figurative and not to be taken literally.
