Hello! Do you need to take the course right away? If not, I'd check out Mira Costa College in Oceanside - it's very close to you, by College Blvd. They offer Japanese classes for a very cheap price every semester. Unfortunately, though, classes for Fall 2006 started Aug 21 and are already underway. You'd have to wait until the Spring 2007 semester to start. Anyway, here's a link to Mira Costa:

They will post the schedule for Spring semester here when it's available.

The only other place I can think of that's fairly close to you in Cal State San Marcos (right off the 78 east). They also offer Japanese classes, but their fall semester is already underway. You'd have to wait for spring to take the next class. Here's a link to their schedules:

The other universities that also offer Japanese classes are in mid-Fall semester too, but if you need something right away and are willing to drive a bit, you can go to the San Diego Japanese School on Market Street. They charge $65 per month to teach people ages 5 and up. That might be too far for you, but here's their website anyway in case you're interested:

Last resort is craigslist if you want to start learning immediately and don't mind a private tutor that you can pay hourly. Please note that I have no relationship with any of these people posting on craigslist and am not recommending any of them, this is just a link in case you want to check one of them out:

Ganbatte ne! Japanese is a fun language, I hope you'll enjoy learning it. ;)
