are you sure you have a pair and not 2 females/males? did you have their sex checked? birds are funny animals. they either like each other or they don't. you may put them together and one might kill the other. be careful. you will lose your pet bird if they attach to each other.
i have quaker birds. out of 5 only two are attached. do you want some quakers?

When you quarantine a bird, it needs to be in a seperate room altogether. Just having a bird in a seperate cage in the same room will not be enought to keep your older bird from keeping any disease that the new bird has. The quarantine should last for 2-4 weeks. After that, the cages can be put next to each other to let them get used to each other.

I hope this helps.

What you described is NOT quarantine and can be dangerous. The birds should be in different rooms for four weeks. Then you can do what you are doing now to get them to know each other. Let them out at the same time to interact. While they are out, thoroughly clean and rearrange one of the cages and put both birds in the one. Watch them for a couple of days to make sure they are compatible, if they aren't keep them in separate cages, but near enough that they can chatter to and see each other. By cleaning and rearranging the cage before putting them in it will get rid of territorial behavior.
By not having your new bird quarantined, you are inviting it to give your other bird a disease it isn't immune to from your one year old is immune to.
Good luck with your tiels!!!

No bird should ever be brought directly into your aviary EVER!!! A single tiny cockatiel can bring down a billion dollar aviary in a few days. ALWAYS 30 days in a separate room with close monitoring on stool and behavior. Then allow that bird another 30 days in the aviary in her own cage to allow her to get familiar with their sounds and they with hers. Introduce then to a single pair breeding program, if open flight breeding monitor closely to see she is not being bullies, if this is the case remove to single pair program.

I only have 1, so i cannot answer this question. Talk to a cockatiel breeder, they would be able to give you good advice..

Let them come out and play with each other, do they like to interact? If they do, soon they might like to stay with each other. Are they tame cockatiels? If you are able to leave the cages open, then the cockatiels might join each other in one cage when they are comfortable.

Good question though, here are websites:

First, are you specific that it extremely is a male which you obtain? in case you specific of that, then the subsequent question is, did you throw them at the same time interior a similar cage impressive away? If the answer to the two a sort of is particular, then you definately've a territory difficulty on your palms. eliminate the male from the cage and place that cage next to the female's cage. which will provide them a raffle to get used to a minimum of one yet another. yet another concept is that your woman is used to easily you, and he or she could reject the male all at the same time. sturdy success.

THEY NEED TO BE IN SEPERATE ROOMS. 30 DAYS. INTRODUCED IN A NEUTRAL AREA. YOU MIGHT WANT TO DO IT OUTSIDE OF THE CAGE. WHEN YOU DO PUT THEM IN TOGETHER YOU MIGHT WANT TO REARRANGE THE CAGE SO THERE IS NO TERRITORIAL ISSUES. AND ARE BOTH THE SAME SEX OR DIFFERENT. ARE YOU PLANNING ON BREEDING? ONCE THESE TWO BOND IF MALE AND FEMALE, KISS WHAT SWEETNESS ONE MAY HAVE AS A PET.
