It means the speaker has abandonded reason and evidence and instead is prepared to base their life on the bronze age scribblings of some sheperds and fishermen.

All scripture was written by men who God chose ..All scripture is inspired by God through man...why dont u ask where the 50+ ...books are that the vactican has locked away ..or why the dead sea scrolls arent recognized..why ya got to pick on the Bible its written by man that was inspired by holy spirit and God.

It means according to their Bible. Everyone doesn't read the same version. It means according to their Bible this or this happened. They should QUOTE the Bible, not tell you what they "perceive". I can read the Bible and take it one way and you can read It and take it another.
