I have some salmon patties still in the original packaging from the store and a butterball turkey still sealed. I have had both in the freezer for a LONG time... well over 1 year on the fish and even longer on the turkey. (Myabe even 2 years on the Turkey, YIKES!)

Is it still safe to eat? Would it even be worth eating? I hate to go to all the effort to fix it to find out it is ruined, but I hate to throw out food too!

Pork is the worst for freezing. Turkey and Fish should be alright. Take them out of the freezer and let them thaw out in the fridge. When unfrozen smell them and if they smell alright, cook them. If you have any doubt feed some of it to the dog. If he dies, do not eat the remainder (come on I'm joking). I would be happy to eat both of them.............
