I hate to tell you this, but there is no such thing as a tea cup dog the only tea cups are the ones you drink from :-)
As for getting a dog from a pet store, please don't. Pet stores get dogs from people who run puppy mills or back yard breeders. You would only supporting puppy mills if you buy any kind of dog from a pet store.
Try looking around in your local shelters or humane society, or try petfinders.com. They have tons of little poodles there. You may not find one one immediately, but then again it you might find one right away. So many unwanted dogs are looking for loving homes.
Please check the links about pet store puppies.

There is really no such thing as a "Teacup poodle". Poodles come in three sizes, Standard, Mini, and Toy. Anything outside of this is just poor breeding and will give you an unhealthy dog - ie "Royal" poodle or "teacup/pocket". People who say they breed or sell these dogs are causing great harm to the dog. Just ask a vet. A teacup poodle is often the runt of a litter of toy poodles, or the result of bad breeding to breed a dog that won't live to be more than a few years old. Poodles are a healthy breed and can live 15 to 20 years! The best thing to go by is the AKC standard. EVen though you probably don't want to show your dog, or could care less about pedigree, the AKC stands for breeding healthy dogs, and not needlessly contributing to pet overpopulation. I would say if you muct have a small poodle - get a TOY, not a 'teacup'. There are MANY toy poodles in rescues, because although people think they are cute and would be cute to carry around in their bags, if they are ill breed or ill raised they can be nippy and difficult to housetrain. Do not buy a dog from a pet shop (http://www.doghobbyist.com/articles/PetShopPuppies.html). Please don't. If you insist on buying instead of adopting, by from a great AKC breeder (http://www.akc.org/breeds/poodle/index.cfm).

It's nice to rescue a dog and all, but teacup poodles are a specialty breed, and my guess is you want a puppy. Nextdaypets.com has plenty of teacup poodle breeders...
Dogchannel.com can help you find breeders in your area.
Because Teacup poodles is such a specific, popular, yet rare breed you might have to travel to buy your pup. A lot of times teacup dogs are nothing more than sickly runts. you want to be careful that the breeder you do get is reputable. it's more important that you have a good breeder no matter what. a good breeder will guarentee the health of the dog under any circumstances, and won't sell the dog until he's at least 8 weeks old. A good breeder will give you a toy or a blanket with it's mothers scent and will let you observe the whelping cages, as well as the sire and dam. These are important factors. good luck!

Stay away from petshops. Search for a breeder, even look in the paper. There are plenty of nice small home breeders of dogs that advertise in the paper.
Call them, interview them and go see the pups. Let your insticts guide you. If someone has 3 or 4 different breeds and has LOTS of dogs, you might want to continue looking. But many small breeders who care about their dogs are out there. They want their dogs to go to people who will love them and take good care of them.
A good breeder will ask you questions, also, not just try to sell you a dog. Ask if both parents are on site and if you can meet and greet both of them. You absolutely should be able to do this. Make sure the pups have been to the vet and have had their shots and wormed. Most breeders have a time frame that they reasonably expect you to take your new pup to the vet of your choice for an exam to make sure the pups is in good health. If your vet finds something wrong, you can get them to write a report that you take the the breeder, who will then either give you your money back or exchange the pup. There can be some other qualifications to that, like the breeder might want her vet to reexamine the pup to verify what your vet has concluded.
Anyway, stay away from pet stores who often deal with puppymills where pups are bred as a commodity not as a loved and treasured souls.
Good luck and Goddess Bless you in your search!

Please do not buy from a pet shop - these pups come from puppy mills & irresponsible breeders. It supports an industry driven by profit, not caring about the dog's genetic health or who they go to, just as long as the check clears. Also, "Teacup" is a made-up term only unscrupulous people use to sell undersized, inbred dogs that suffer lifelong health problems. For a good dog, go to www.akc.org & contact members of you closest Toy Poodle club. Buy from a member that test & certifies their breeding dogs free from genetic defects, for a healthy pet for life. Good luck!

I'm not sure. I just want to make you aware however, that many pet stores get their dogs from puppy mills where the mothers are treated like machines for breeding and are eventually killed when they are not useful any longer.
