She wants me to clean up my messes, and I do so without question or complaint, but she's been slacking the last couple weeks in cleaning up her dishes, vaccuming and sweeping the floors, and leaving dirty laundry allover the house, and leaving her bed unmade!!! UGGH!! This has got me seriously P.Oed..... She won't let me get away with a mess so why is she doing this? :(

I was even sick the last couple weeks and wasn't able to catch much of a break. Now she's complaining that she's depressed from a family sitch and wants me to do EVERYTHING.. and gets mad if I say no....I've had enough!

If this is not like her to be this way, then she has something going on that needs to be checked out. Please don't be so mad at her, as she may be having a personal meltdown, and you will only add to the problem by riding her a-s! Get her to a doctor, and go in with her when she See's the doctor, to make sure she is on the up and up. You may be surprised at what you find out, and may have regrets you were that way towards her. It sounds to me like she is seriously depressed, and with medication and some talking to, she will be her old self in no time, but you got to do this for the both of you. Good Luck!

deal with it! you can't make her clean if she doesn't want to, especially if you moved in with her. clean the floors, and areas that you use but leave her personal stuff alone.

I do this with my BF because he doesn't share enough of the cleaning. I don't wash his clothes. eventually when he runs out he has no choice but to wash them. I don't clean up after him. I pile all of his junk and trash on his end table. I pile all his junk in certain areas for him to deal with, but I clean the house which I figure I would have to do anyway if I were living alone.

Tell her she's not getting any stars on her chore chart until she bucks up and get's it done. Honestly though, the most I think you can do is just have a heart to heart w/ her and tell her how you feel.

Depression can make someone not feel like doing anything. She is your mother. Be there for her in her time of need.
