After all, everyone knows that their real object of worship is George W. Bush. Or at least, money and power is all they care about. They should stop insulting the world's intelligence with this Jesus charade.

It's not gonna happen - too much money involved. Look at all the real estate owned by various churches and all the money coming in in collection plates every Sunday! As long as it's profitable to keep people believing, they will be conned into believing whatever the churches tell them, and there is nothing that will change it in our lifetimes. Individuals will be enlightened, for sure, but the majority will continue to plunk down 10% of their earnings every week. It's NOT a pretense - they really believe all this stuff is true because they have been told it from the day they were born and questioning such early beliefs is difficult. Most people are comfortable with what their parents told the (and pass it on to their own kids, alas); questioning takes both intelligence and courage, and those are uncommon traits.

Questions about Jesus, or Questions designed to convert or recruit people to Jesus (or even away from Jesus for that matter)are simply a waste of time. Ditto for being "saved" or trying to clarify minute points of scripture when there are so many different interpretations and editions of text. People have already decided for the most part if they believe in the fiction written in the bible. People who feel God talks to them have psychological problems because hearing voices is a psychological illness. All the major world religions have issues like this.

Believing in God the Father, Jesus His Son our Lord and Saviour as well as the Holy Spirit have nothing to do with George, money or power. What a ignorant statement!
We believe because we know HIM!!!
We put our faith and trust in HIM!!!
LOL... we have something far more valuable then money or power or anything from this world!!!
We have a Saviour who died for us so we could be redeemed!!!
We by the grace of God are forgiven, and have the gift of salvation... eternal life!!! Praise God!!!
There is NOTHING that can compare to Him or His promises!!!

Do you mean Christians like Hariett Tubman, Dr. Henry Livingston, or Mother Teresa? It is true some Christians aren't all they should be, but there are also lot of Christians out there who make the world a better place.
Maybe someday you'll get that chip off your shoulder and realize Christians aren't the source of all that is evil in the world.
Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pohl Pot, Ho Chi Minh, Mussollini, and others like them tried to create socieities without any religion at all and killed millions of people while doing so.

I am a believer because God proved Himself to me. He healed me.
I do love G.W. thought, we finally have a leader with a backbone.
As for the mony or power, I don't have anymore than I did before, God always gives me what I need , not always what I want.

i will never stop beleiveing in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We do not worship President Bush if that happened it would be wrong. I for one do not want money and power. God Bless
