You have two approaches: 1. Remove the symptoms and 2. Heal
For 1. you find a lot of stuff in the supermarkets and drug stores which does not require a prescription. It will help to stop your nose running, stop coughing, lower fever and so on.
But those medications only remove the symptoms so you can go to work. They don't help to remove the flu.
Also - you will spread germs around to your colleagues.
(Perhaps you can work from home?)
2. Getting rid of a flu quickly - still the best are the good old remedies our grandparents already knew. Chicken broth (hot), sweating, inhaling steam/vapor with essential oils (Eucalyptus), Eucalyptus rubs (actually Eucalyptus is said to kill viruses). And lots of sleep.
Also it seems for some people it helps to eat large amounts of Vitamin C. 1000mg per day at least if not more.

Vitamin C 1 gram every 2-3 hours while awake, and Sambucol as directed on the bottle (chek your local health food stores). Olive leaf extract and oil of oregano may facilitate your rapid recovery; others suggest garlic tabs. Cold-Eeze lozenges may help; the zinc boosts your immunity. Ginger and Lomatium dissectum are also recommended. See Prescription For Natural Cures - Balch & Stengler for details.
Good luck. Drink lots of water and fruit juices and try to rest.

You can try AIRBORNE. It can be purchased at most drug stores and Walmart, Target, etc...
Flight attendants swear by it! It cuts the duration of the flu in half!

rest
water
paracetamol (acetaminophen)
if you want to take a chance there are some actual anti-flu antivirals but they only work for the influenza virus and not for any other virus (cos the other ones don't have neuraminidase)
