i hate to bust your bubble, but cybersex is not sex it is wishful thinking. thoughts may be impure but it is actions that define sin. no humans is free from sin. those who would say that your cybersex is sin have probably hidden their own sins from themselves. adultery requires sex. a union out of marriage. no physical coupling, no sex, no sin. simple as that.

Cybersex is not adultery because adultery requires intercourse and intercourse requires the physical contact of the genitalia of a person by another person. Cybersex may seem like adultery to those who think people do it because they want to have sex with someone other than their spouse, but the fact is, people have cybersex because the DON'T want to have sex with someone other than their spouse. Cybersex is no more like adultery than if you and your neighbor's wife opened your windows and yelled dirty sex talk to each other while each of you masturbated. When you look at it that way, it's actually sort of humorous.

From a legalistic point of view, it might look like it to your spouse, but it would be hard to press that case in criminal court (so far; I'm not sure if there's anything new with regards to that), though it can be used against you in a civil court.

If it is not done with your wife or husband...it is adultery. There is no sugar coating, no "buts, it is adultery plain and simple.
