I read this question and went on their website:
http://www.cdc.gov/
typed in "abortion data" and also "abortion reports"
they have tons and tons of data on pregnancy, teen pregnancy, abortion and all kinds of things like this.
go see for you selfs if you don't believe this is true
i have no idea why they think pregnancy is a disease.

Yes....statistics are needed to government a nation. So they can know what is going on in the country and take action...ie more/less public hospital beds, how babies die, why babies die, immunisation, why people live and how they live, how much they earn, how old they are, how they die. The same way as the public Census works...its not for personal info its about the country and its needs as a whole.
Sure education of a singular person, may come into account, if that one has a habit of getting/spreading disease, pregnancy and abortion...but it would be about helping that person find a different way....not judging them.
I'm surprised that you are wondering about it because those issues are never just about you....its about the community as well. You want silence and ignorance to be the norm? Why? Its not like your actual name will be broadcasted ever.....just the statistics.

It would make sense to me if they track the info. Why? Various reasons - age of the mother (to determine any sort of trend as far as older mothers, younger mothers), birth defects, more males than females, underweight babies, multiple births...
As far as abortions stats...perhaps the same as above - age of the mother, to see if there are more abortions performed in one area than another, average age of the mothers etc.
I receive the MMWR from the CDC in the medical library in which I work. All sorts of things, not just disease, epidemics and the lik, are tracked. The information can be useful in many ways. And no...the MMWR that we receive does not list patient names.

It's just for statistical purposes. This information is supplied to the CDC by your doctor, clinic and hospital. A yearly report is compiled of the current "trends" among each race, age group, socioeconomic status etc. If you've had one, don't worry all information that can potential identify a patient is removed per HIPAA. If said clinician does not they can and will be fined $$$ per patient, per offense.

This is TOTALLY untrue. The CDC has far better and vastly MORE important things to do than keep those kinds of records. Abortion clinics are NOT required to report to the CDC, only to the county in which they are located. And when the reports go into the county, they are only statistics, not names of those who were pregnant or had abortions. And no, the county DOES NOT forward these to the CDC either. Whomever told you this was INCORRECT!

Why ought to we be attempting to evade undesirable pregnancies? it is so secure and trouble-free to take away a being pregnant and the technique brings lots mandatory money to the State. Why ought to human beings deprive themselves of sexual excitement, the final element that existence has to grant? we could desire to constantly proceed to inspire human beings to do in spite of they experience like and then inspire them to abort for any reason or no reason.

they are tracking statistics and trying to figure out where they should put more resources and trying to figure out what future statistics will be.
