Get rid of refined sugars. They'll give you energy for a short while, but in the long run they'll leave you spent. Have you heard of those "green" drinks? They can give you lots of (healthy) energy. You can find those in natural food stores.

I try to eat 1/4 cup of raisins before working out and drink 8 oz of water with that. (make sure to eat/drink 15 - 30 min before to gain full effect.) Stay well hydrated throughout workout, and I'll eat another 1/4 cup of raisins after the workout.

Also make sure to take a good woman's multivitamin every day. Yes - we have different nutritional needs than men.

Make sure you take a good multivitamin. I am also a fan of Sobe Adrenaline Rush energy drinks. Also Green Tee, it contains EGCG, which gives you energy.
