At this age you can't. They are going to roll and you can't prevent it. Make sure their are no blankets she can get caught up in or any pillows. She is going to be fine.

There's nothing that you can do to stop them from rolling around in their sleep at this point. All you can do is make sure there's nothing in the crib that they could suffocate themselves with. Blankets, pillows, plush toys, bumper pads, etc are all not recommended. We went through the same thing with our baby, she wouldn't sleep on her back at all, so she slept on her belly. We did what we could to reduce the other suspected triggers in the house, but you can only do so much... SIDS has been around forever, and we've all made it through. It's such a scary thing to imagine, but we can only do so much to lessen the chances. When we were babies, the recommendation was to put us on our bellies to sleep, that was thought to reduce the risk, now it's the opposite. By the time our kids have babies the recommendation will be to hang the babies by their big toes to sleep. New information becomes available all the time, and we'll all drive ourselves completely nuts if we try to follow the 'experts' through all the phases of our child's life.

once a baby is at the age where she can roll on her own theres really nothing you can do to keep her from sleeping on her belly lets face it its more comfy and im not a doctor but i think a 6 months your pretty much past the stage where you need to worry about sids all the time.

No. Once a baby can roll over the risk of sids goes down. It is mostly under 3 months when the risk is high because they cannot roll over on their own.

You can't keep a baby from rolling over in their sleep. Once they are old enough to roll over it's ok if they sleep on their tummy. Just make sure you always put her on her back. And try not to stress about it.

OK #1, at age 6 months your child is still an infant, not a toddler.
And if she is able to roll herself to her stomach there is no way you can stop her. If shes able to do this shes got the head mobility to keep herself safe.
Just relax.

I think you're past the age where SIDS is something to really worry about. Just let her roll about -- even if she was on her belly, the chances of SIDS are still about 1000 to 1 against.

They are supposed to roll at that age. By 6 months, the risk of SIDS is VERY low.

There are baby position things sold at Wal-Mart. I invested in this device and it's failed. I asked my doctor--she said by the time a baby can roll over and lift their head--the risk of SIDS drastically decreases. In all reality--there isn't anything you can do to keep your daughter from rolling over. The best thing to do is keep all objects out of her crib. Best of Luck!

Theirs isn't really anythin you can do. Talk to the baby's doctor and see what they tell you. I would just let the baby sleep the way he/she wants to and be happy they are sleeping all night. The risk of SIDS goes down with each month.
