The paydays are actually the 15th and the 1st of each month. When you can view the LES it means that the military has sent the pay to the companies/banks for them to release at their own discretion. They don't have to release the money to you until the 15th or the 1st. It either date fell on a weekend or holiday which it has in the past few moths then it would be deposited earlier. If you are overseas then that can be another factor, in some areas the pay isn't deposited until after midnight Central time which can be 15 hours later in the day, so they don't get it until the afternoon or early evening of payday.

Usually, it is the Friday before, but I think they treat this special since it is the start of a new fiscal year for the federal government. Because of that, I believe the payday would be on the following Monday (Oct 2) instead of the normal Friday before (Sep 29). This is done to keep the money coming out of the correct budget. If they paid during the current fiscal year, it would have to come out of the current budget. However, if they paid on Monday, it would come out of next year's budget, where it should be.

Depending on your bank, it'll be there Friday or Saturday. If you can, check online or at the ATM machine for sure. The reason is because not all banks do transactions on Saturday, so they might put it in on Friday. The "rule" is that it has to be available by midnight (when it changes to the 1st of the month). However, I've come to expect my bank to often not put it in until they open the next day. I don't complain because it's always there and we've never bounced. If you don't want to wait to see for sure when it's deposited, you could call the bank and ask them what their policy is.

Well, since legally the employee has to be paid by the date contracted, he would get his money deposited on either friday or saturday, if the banks are open.

It goes in either that Fri or Sat before. We've never had it fall afterward but it has varied on the Fri or Sat thing. Check his account on mypay and it'll say on the LES what day it's supposed to be in.

My son gets his on Friday but check your balance - sometimes it varies for funny reasons. Extra pay for training, deduction for new gear & his wife says she always checks.
