Could be very mild chicken pox. That's how my daughter got it. I thought they were bug bites for a while but they didn't go away.

Get a doctors appt. just to be safe. It doesn't sound serious.

Have you checked the child's hair? If you find them in the hair there is a chance it could be chicken pox. My son had the shot as a baby and last year developed several spots on his face, a few on his tummy and 2 in his hair, Dr. said it was Chicken Pox. He said the dead give away are the ones in the hair.

Could also just be a benign viral rash, or allergic dermatitis.

As long as they don't get worse, you don't find any in the hair, and no further symptoms develop I suspect everything is fine.

are they raised spots kind of like a rash? could be ringworm or some kind of allergy.
