Would that person be a hero or an ******? If Judas really wanted to mess things up, would dying for Jesus be more damaging to God's plan than anything?

What if???? The point of the matter is, it would not have happened and it did not happen. Jesus death on the cross had been prophesied for 4,000 years. If it wasn't time for the Saviour to die, then God would not have sent Jesus down to earth for this very purpose.

But, to entertain your question. It would have been the same situation as all the other people who died on the cross (the thieves, blasphemers, Peter, etc) it would have just been another person dying. It would not have messed up God's plan. It just would have meant that it was not yet God's timing for Jesus Christ to die for us.

LOL funny

Questions about Jesus, or Questions designed to convert or recruit people to Jesus (or even away from Jesus for that matter)are simply a waste of time. Ditto for trying to clarify minute points of scripture when there are so many different interpretations and editions of text. People have already decided for the most part if they believe in the fiction written in the bible. People who feel God talks to them have psychological problems because hearing voices is a psychological illness. All the major world religions have issues like this.

You are trying to spread propaganda.

Islam teaches that Judas died in Jesus' place. This is wrong!

Read the Holy Bible to find the truth.

I believe the men (disciples) that were involved (followed and learned directly from Jesus) in His (Jesus) mission and ministry here on earth....NOT someone that lived 600 years later that has twisted the New Testament teachings of the Holy Bible!

Grace to all and God Bless!

If someone had died on the cross in stead of Jesus then everyone in the world would be unsaved and on their way to hell. THe person to die on the cross had to be SINLESS, and the only sinless person was Jesus. Fortunatly, God is in control and wold not let someone mess up His perfect plan. In Genesis (the first book in the Bible) it talked about how God was going to send someone to save us. That was 4000 years beofre Jesus. God would not plan somthing for 4000 years only to have Judas mess it up at the last minute.

The bible is what's named "Faction" A fictional tale set in a actual time and place. consequently the time, place and actual historic characters are all superb however the fictitious characters and memories are no longer! there is not any longer one single point out of Jesus interior the completed Roman record - that's stable - no longer one! on the comparable time as he grew to become into meant to have been around there have been numerous Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are properly recorded! there is not any longer a single present day record from any source or maybe the bible mentions of him like numerous different references weren't written until eventually some years after his meant loss of existence! He grew to become into meant to have been a extensive subject to the Romans and produced marvelous miracles yet nevertheless no longer one present day record? Even the bible mentions of him like numerous different references weren't written until eventually some years after his meant loss of existence! Pilate is recorded interior the Roman record as a extremely lack luster guy yet no point out of a Jesus, an ordeal or crucifixion that would somewhat have been used to make him seem brighter! At ultimate he grew to become into an amalgam of those others yet very almost easily on no account existed!

You can't change Gods plan.

If someone had died in Jesus place. There would have been NO forgiveness of sin.

We Muslims belive that the person on the cross was Judas (God made him look like Jesus for his treason) and not prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) as Christians believe. Because God says in Quran:

"And because of their saying we slew the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, Allah's Messenger - They slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them. Those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain." (Q4:157)

No one did, because no one would. As it was the Romans had Jesus die in the place of a murderer so the killer could be set free.
Same for us.
