Canadian troops served proudly and with distinction during WW One and WW Two and in Korea. The Canadian Navy once had outstanding Anti-Submarine forces (whom I flew with several times). And Canada had troops in Afghanistan from the beginning of the NATO involvement. Canada lost a number of troops to a friendly-fire bombing incident.
Canada uses a mix of US and British equipment and arms.
Ah, one of the more foolish questions... Perhaps you should simply use your search-engine and SEARCH for "Canadian Military".
OH... love the joke about the Mounties Horses.

The Canadian has a military that uses mostly American Weapon Systems. However since the US military is so much more powerful they are running under the radar so to speak. In fact, compared to a lot of other countries the Canadian military is top notch in just about every categories.

If we didn't have 2 wars going on right now (which Canada is involved in one of them) who would hear anything about our military. The media chooses what you will focus on and what you won't. Canada's media chooses not to focus on their military.

They sure do (I have colleagues in the Royal Canadian Air Force). The reason you don't hear about them is simple: How often do you hear about military forces from another country, except when they're fighting? Think about it: The only reason people here in the U.S. know that there is an Israeli Air Force is because they flew missions to bomb Hezbollah targets.

The cherokee indian answered the question perfectly when he said yes but just for show they dont need it because the U.S would never let anything crucial go on there because it would be bad for our security. But they do have one and to the men that fight in it, good luck and come back to Canada, Im sure your family misses you.

It sounds to me like you don't read newspapers or listen to the news. It was just last week that four Canadian troops, assigned to NATO, were killed in Afghanistan.
These aren't the first troops the Canadians have lost, as NATO members. It is rare for Canada to be involved in foreign conflicts, however when they are, it is usually in support of a US campaign.

Just listen to (more) news!
COSTA RICA is the only country not having MILITARY FORCES.
They JUST have POLICE! Not bad, too, isn't it?
