I'm a guy with about 3 and a half inches of hair, black. I dont wanna get a huge all haircut ut rather just a small trim and even it out and make it look a little cleaner. I have all the professional supplies yet never took a class or anything. I plan to use scissors really, im not a fan of those bulky machines. Tips? Thanks!

Like everyone else said.... DON'T DO IT!!! I may look easy, but you can't see the back of your head, and it's going to turn out to be a mess! Just go to a cheap salon if you just need a little trim, it's pretty hard to mess up for a professional!

Having been down that road many times my suggestion is if you don't want to end up shaving your head then don't start cutting your own hair. Truly don't do it. Go get a 10-15 dollar trim.

It isn't easy to cut your own hair, why don't you have a friend give you a hand. Of course someone you can trust with a pair of scissors. If not you'll end up going to a pro anyway.

you just need to get two mirrors while seating on a stool.one is suppose to be at the back of your head while the other mirror stays in front of you by that you can view the whole angle of your head and cut the hair in good proportion.a lot of people do it.

Not even professionals cut their own hair! If you insist on doing it get a Flow Bee.

It is almost impossible to do a good job cutting your own hair. I would see if you could get a friend to help you out.
