That's incorrect. An ER can refuse no one. Even if they have the flu.

They can't refuse to treat emergencies, which generally goes way beyond life threatening emergencies, in practice.
Whatever happens to those here, if we want to stop more from coming, we have to change these benefits. I don't mean don't patch up someone who is bleeding, but they should be deported when they stabalize.
This idea that everytime they use services, be it education or health care or whatever, it is improper to ask about immigration status and enforce our laws, is a big part of the problem.

well, most of the people that go to the hospitals go in trough the ER, how do u kno if that person is really bad inside. besied doctors have a pledge to help anyone in danger (medically). maybe some hospitals do that but i dont think many will. bedies i know a lot of people that dont have insurance and are on a payment plan of about 30 bucks a month.

the problem is they don't have preventative care, so they wait until a tooth is absessed, nefore seeking treatment, instead of seeing a dentist. They wait until they have a heart attack, instead of treating their diabetes. This goes for ALL uninsured, not just illegals. The cost to treat these advanced illnesses is far greater than preventative care. They aren't all life threatening, but many are preventable.

Many illegals WON'T go into a hospital unless it's life threatening because they know the staff will havew to involve police. And they in turn will detain the person(s) for Immigration authorities to be deported. Most will do the home remedy way.

It kind of depends on how liberal the state is. Some states are moving towards 'emergency only', others have developed healthcare plans. Meanwhild, 45 million US citizens have no healthcare plan, and those without means do without, for the most part. Poverty isn't a crime, but it's increasingly becoming the american status quo. Meanwhile, our tax monies go to provide for others. Kind of makes you sit n think, doesn't it? Hmm...

Probably not. But emergency rooms cannot refuse treatment to anyone there, not just people with life threating illnesses and conditions.

If you are in the emergency room you will be treated. ER's are set up to take the most critical cases first. So if they have a chest cold they will be seen after all the remainder of the critical patients are seen.

No. I know someone who just went into the hospital on Sunday. She is an American who works, but has no insurance.

No. Their treated for everything. Even the common cold. This is one reason our taxes are so high. We have to pay for those who can't. This is OK but, should be limited to legal citizens of our country... Call your government Representative
