We were doing it at a football stadium - he works in one every Friday night.I didn't seem to know much about the ceremony.I asked my mom who was taking care of things - it was some friends of my parents who they haven't seen in a long time.I was surprised they were coming to my vow renewal.My husband & I walked out of the dressing area because I thought it was time, but it wasn't. There was some kind of meeting going on in the middle of the field, so we went back under the stadium.Then a lady I have known most of my life who owns a bridal shop comes in the dressing room & offers to help me get ready.I start to put on my bra, but I tell her I don't want her to help me.I am afraid of what she'll think of me because my bra is old &missing a hook (It really is!) It's time to go out for the ceremony& my dad drives us in the older car my husband& I currently own.I am embarrased by the appearance of the car& tell him so.I am also disappointed that the PA system doesn't work.

A couple of other details are that there were lots of people at the ceremony I didn't know.Some of them were very obviously poor and I was so glad they were there.
I was trying to get my lipstick just right, but I couldn't seem to get it just right the way it usually looks.
As we were getting out of the car to start the ceremony I told my husband I wished he had his bullhorn that he uses every Friday night at football games so that people could hear our vows.I asked him if he was going to say a little something before the vows began. He said he was going to say how everything was great until we made our lives more public. (???)
I told him I'd like to keep things positive and if he didn't think he could do that, then I could say a few words.
I think that's about it. So many different things going on here. I am hoping the guy with so many best answers in dreams will ananlyze this one. I know people say that dreams are short, but I feel like this one must have gone on forever

First of all, I am not sure in reality you have this thought about renew your wedding vows or if there is a problem with your marriage. Anyhow, here it goes about your dream
Football stadium = public place , you want people to know
renew your wedding vows = to refresh what has to be said before
Some kind of meeting going on = interruption, being ignored
Reject help from profession (bridal shop) = trust issue
Feel embarrassed about the car and PA system = insecure feeling
couldn't get it right for lipstick = stress behavior
Hubby said make life more public = Your insecure conscience.
From what I see in the dream, you may be stressed somewhat. You could have a happy marriage; however, you may not be fully content with what you already have. That is what the renewal is all about. Perhaps you are a perfectionist. You can be easily affected by others (feel embarrassed about the car, pa system), you don't easily trust people, not even your hubby. Being renewal in the public may seem a good idea to you but you want to be respected in a way. You may feel somewhat insecure about your hubby and people around you. Sounds like good old relationship anxiety. Your apprehension about your bra and car suggest you may not feel comfortable about your husband's acceptance among family and friends. The PA system failure is also interesting. Do you have problems with publicly affirming your love/relationship? does your husband? The stadium is your husband's turf might have some relevance as well. Interesting dream...

Do you dream alot or is remembering dreams a rare event for you? As an outside observer and non-expert I would venture to say that you have a few issues with self-esteem and also some concerns with your husband and his priorities. How about setting up a date night on Saturdays with your hubby?
My impression on dreams is that they do give you clues on what is bothering you, but I would not stress out about it too much
but use the information gleaned to do something constructive about your self image and your relationship with your husband.
