TRY COTTON MIXED TIGHTS.

OVER HEAVY COVERING WOULD CAUSE SWEAT AND MOST HORSES DONT LIKE THE ODOURS.

AVOID RIDING IN PERIODS.

If you're not going full dress and tackle, I would start with good athletic underwear, full cut jeans with at least ankle high boots, and a loose fitting blouse and loose fitting jacket--maybe jeans jacket. Loose fitting, because you need to let your skin breathe, boots because the metal fittings near the stirrups will rub your ankles raw. Lean back, relax, move with the horse and have a good time. If it's sunny, wear a hat that covers your neck. B.
