Drink some water, dehydration can cause migraines. Take break if you can, if you cannot focus on something as far away as you can for 20 sec and then on your desk. Repeat a few times. If possible dim the lights and decrease the noise. If you do not need your speakers on turn them off. Get something with caffeine in it like coffee or mountain dew and try and relax. take things one step at a time, rushing will stress you and you'll have to re-do things because you are unable to focus. I would suggest keeping some Excedrin migraine in your desk from now on and a piece of chocolate. Chocolate has caffeine in it too. If the migranes persist see a doctor.

I understand. I get them too. If you can, get a cool towel (paper will do) and lay it on the back of your neck. It would also help if you could hold one against your eyes for a few moments. Drink something with caffeine in it.

One person suggested buy Excedrin Migraine - all Excedrin is the same except for labeling - so you can buy a generic brand and get the same thing. Make an appointment with your doctor, so you can get some prescription stuff that is okay to take during the day, at the onset of the headache - that will keep you at work and functional.

Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon!

I get cluster migraines. I start to get them by losing vision, my left eye goes blind and the pain is excruciating. I have particular medication to take that knocks me out. I'm generally back on my feet in 6-8 hours, but if I don't take anything I will be screaming for 12 hours. I take Naramig in combination with Codeine Forte. I find that an ice pack will sometimes help, but definitely have to be lying down in a dark room. I'll get a series of these over a period of six weeks, then won't get them for a few months. You should really see your GP about getting some stronger medication, because Tylenol never cuts it with me..

I feel for you as I get migraines all the time.
Looking at that bright screen of yours is not helping, make sure the lights behind you are brighter than your screen.
Neither is the 4 tyenol, they will rott your stomach!
Ask your doctor for something stonger, I have percocet for mine. They don't take it away 100% but I am able to work. If you can, lay your head down on your desk and close your eyes at least 5 min every hour, it will ease the strain on your eyes. See your doctor ok.
Hope you feel better soon!

If 4 Tylenol dont do it..you should go to a doctor..you might tell him or her tho, how many Tylenol you have been taking..it could be harmful to your digestive system if you do this often..
I get migraine and usually only 1 or 2 Nurofen will ease it for me..good luck and take care of your health..

A migraine headache is throbbing, moderate to severe pain, usually on one side of the head, that is worsened by physical activity, light, sounds, or smells and that is associated with nausea and vomiting.

More information is available below...you should see a physician since the types of medications that are believed to be effect require a prescription...(To abort a migraine as it is beginning, most doctors prefer a relatively new group of drugs called triptans (5-hydroxytryptophan [5-HT] agonists).

Immediate ways to cope with the pain "at work"... close your eyes..to ease light triggered pain...transfer phone calls during a "rest", if possible..to ease noise triggered pain..and try to relax.

Another more awkward technique is to place one hand on your head in the area of the pain. Using the other hand, insert the first digit nail into the fourth digit nail space between nail and skin. This "painful" yet purported treatment allows a pathway for the "pain to travel and leave the body". This is similar to acupuncture ... without the needles.

Have someone drive you to a physician at lunch...migraines can become worse and more frequent without treatment...why [?] suffer needlessly?

Don't take Tylenol, try an noninflammatory like Advil. Get out of the noise and light, and lie down with a cold cloth.

Try taking ibuprofen. It seems to work better on my Migraines than Tylenol does. I think it's because they work differently on pain. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory...hope you feel better soon!

My doctor told me to go to the emergency room when I get my migraines. They can give you a shot. Try your regular doctor first if you have one.
