springfield armory makes outstanding shooters right out of the box.

A cal. 45 1911 is still stylish and will not go out of fashion. A Colt 45 with the original feature has still that sting for me. But a Springfield armory is as good as well. But if you're looking for the same model not manufacture by Colt or Springfield armory, I have seen one, made by SINGER.

Colt, Kimber and Springfield are good. just remember there is only one 1911A1 and it was originally patented by Colt. every thing else is a knock off or copy. good. if you prefer an 11A1 with extended magazine, try Para Ordinance. the Colt and the Para Ordinance have interchangeable parts. i am a Colt fan but i like the Extended magazine capacity of the Para Ordnance.

Kimber offers a range of excellent 45s. LAPD swat recently chose them over any other firearm in the world.
