How much are you in love with you? If he is your life partner, please start to educate him. If not, you will get this all the time.

If he is just your boyfriend, which you going to have many in your life time, let other people to educate him. Spend time to look for one that willing to spend time and effort on you. :)

perhaps some guys may not be as meticulous as girls.

i remembered when i was 16, my bf said that he would be looking forward to see me turn 18... and i thought that was very sweet of him, and i could spend all my time with him, just with him. but on that very day, i ended up accompanying him and his friend for 4 to 5 hrs in a shop- just waiting for their cars' window to be tinted, after that i had dinner with his family. he even said that he got no present for me. though i was quite sad, but after that, i realised there's nothing to be upset about...coz right from the start, we have already received the best present from them, their true love for us...(^.^) we did tell each other how we felt about it...and this yr, he bought a slice of chocolate cake with strawberry(my fav) for my bday, and we celebrated outside a mrt station. though its's very simple, but i know it's filled with all his love...

so, just let him know how u feel, and perhaps make a sweet plan together for ur next birthday... don't ponder about it too much, both of you are still as loving as always...(^.^)

Just curious... what did you give him for his birthday?

So what do you look for in a boyfriend? is being able to shop for your present and buy you something that you like the most important thing to you? If it is, drop him! :)

if not and you find that there are other more important qualities that you think he has :) Give him a chance. Share with him about how that is important to do and please give him suggestions on wat to do to make you happy.. I know we girls like our men to 'understand us' and "it wouldnt be the same if i had to say it
out..."

But.. face it!:P MOST MEN are as thick as a wooden block ;) They do need us to tell them exactly what makes us happy and they will be more than willing to do it.

If you told him nicely and he did not even try the next time.. you either accept this.. or it is time to change boyfriends ;)

I am in your same shoes my 23rd birthday just passed and my HUSBAND didn't do sh** for me! No card, no flowers, no dinner, he didn't even say "Happy Birthday!" I am not speaking to him at all! Then he has the nerve to want to sleep with me! I didn't get anything for my birthday, so he doesn't get sex, plain and simple! And he still hasn't made up for it, so I guess he just doesn't care. You should just be thankful that your BOYFRIEND is thoughtless and that he isn't your HUSBAND!

move on, and find the one who will remember all of those special days. If you allow others to make these days unimportant.....they will become unimportant....they are important to you, then they should be important to your partner....Happy belated 18th Birthday you have many more to come.... I am going to guess and pray that they will get better as the years go on but get rid of this bf who is nothing but insensitive.

I've gotten some pretty crappy presents from lovers. Usually it's because they have no idea what to buy.
