I am a server, and very rarely get a break during a sometimes 6 or 7 hour shift. I am looking for some things I can eat besides protein bars and smoothies. Any ideas? Keep in mind I cannot sit and eat.

Thanks.

it's against the law to work more than 6 hours without a 30 minute break. you should tell your employer. bring food to work with you like baby carrots or an apple or a roast beef sandwich.

Veggies and fruits. Take an apple, small bag of grapes, carrots or celery. There are also bite sized rice cakes that are really good. Just DON'T leave work and eat a big meal if you work the night shift. You'll end up putting on the pounds.

I'm a server too. I bring a baggie of trail mix with me (low fat). Some other servers bring yogurt, granola bars, fresh fruit, fruit leather, dried apple chips. We've been known to make mini sandwiches out of the rolls we serve. My fav is cucumber and onion w/ shmear of mayo. (I eat a mint after). They are small and quick to eat. It sucks not being able to eat like regular folk, doen't it?!
