flight to U.S. the next day is 10am. I am debating if it is better to stay overnight in a hotel or should we just stay in the airport to wait for the flight the next day. Is there a place we can rest or sleep at the HK airport? How much does it cost?

i will suggest the Novotel Citygate Hotel too. just few mins away from the airport. i stayed there for one nite too when i had to catch a morning flight the following day.

i booked online in its own website. was abt USD100/nite at end of May this year.it should be a special rate for its soft opening. hotel is newly open(a month b4 my visit).

if u have a long flight the next day, i will suggest u to rest well the nite b4 rather than staying in the airport.

have a nice trip....:-)

There is a hotel right in the airport area. Regal Airport Hotel (5 star). USD 236-421 per night. There is another hotel 5 minutes away Novotel Citygate(4 star) that is more reasonably priced. USD 150-264 per night depending on when you travel. I checked the prices through Asiarooms.com and Hotelclub.com

The ride into Kowloon is 30 to 35 minutes and the prices would be nearly the same or higher. Then a 5 to 10 minute or more walk to a hotel. Check in etc. You have lost another 30 minutes.

It seems those 2 hotels are your best bets.

I have used both Asiarooms and HotelClub. Asiarooms has good to great prices and sometimes it takes 24 hours to confirm a room. And I hear refunds are slow(French company). HotelClub is a british company, you have to join, no fee. They give you 3 percent credit for each stay to be used on your next trip. Again it can take 24 hours to confirm your reservation. Credits are fairly quick.
