I would love to hear both, but if I had to choose I guess I would have to pick I love you because it's more secure and can last you a lifetime no matter what. Being in-love with someone is great, but you can fall out of love with someone on any given day. There is a big difference.

I would prefer to hear that i'm "IN" love with you. Simply because my mom tells me that she loves me everyday and i want a difference between me and my man.

I love you. I love you so much. I love you like I love my life.
I'm in love with you sounds too much like 'I don't really love you but I just like the idea of being in love.'

I love you

I don't think that it matters. Hearing I love you or I am in love with you, means the same thing. Someone cares enough about you to express that sentiment.

To me in love would mean you can fall out of love. So the magical words would be I love you. FYI don't say it unless you actually mean it.

Tough call.

I would have to go for the "I'm IN love with you."

Gives the feeling of active action...a perpetual thing as opposed to a state of present feeling with "I love you."

I like both of them. Also I'm falling for you. That's also a pleasure hearing.

Hmm... never even thought about it, but I'm IN love with you sounds so much better.
