If you alter or change the sex God created you to be (on the outside only). I believe once you're born a male you remain a male vice versa for the females. DNA doesn't change.

This question is not asked to be offensive. I'm just looking for peoples answers and opinions on the topic.
I think anyone can be forgiven if they ask with a sincere and humble heart.

As a Christian, we are instructed that homosexuality goes against God's laws. I AM NOT TRYING TO OFFEND ANYONE! I am only asking a question for those that understand where I am coming from with this. Changing or altering one's sex to reflect the opposite sex (once the surgical operation has been performed) can those individuals seek forgive if they so desire forgiveness. Or have they already made their minds up that this is what they want and nothing else.

Yes. God looks at the original person and not the person that humans have altered. Forgiveness is not about what you look like or what gender you are, it is about the condition of your heart. The first thing that God looks at is does the person's heart regret the sin in his/her life. The next thing that God looks at is does that person want to be forgiven. The third thing that Gods looks at is does that person want to hand over his/her life to Christ for forgiveness. And the forth thing that God looks at is does that person want to walk out the rest of their life in the spirit of forgiveness. It is all about the Spirit of God within a person and not the flesh of a person. If a person wants the Spirit of God to dominate his/her life, then forgiveness and salvation will be granted. If not, then the flesh will continue to dominate and there will be no forgiveness and no salvation.

yay! 1. I am MTF and I just turned 18 so as of now I do not "pass" as female, but I will soon be taking hormones + plastic surgery to change that. I do not use public restrooms. I hold it in till I get home. lol 2. ^^^ 3. normally in the gyms there will always be a unisex bathroom (many disabled people use it). but in restraunts and stuff they normally just have male and female bathrooms. I'm from Charleston, SC. 4. Well at the moment I don't pass so I don't go at all (many other trans don't use the bathroom if they feel they don't pass). I don't think a straight man has ever had the balls to pretend he is transgendered just so he can rape a woman in a public bathroom where people come in and out all the time. haha xD -------------------- i think if any woman sees someone who looks like a male, but dresses female, should not say anything at all. What if the person was biologically female but had hormone imbalance issues? You never know. Just give benefit of the doubt that the person in the restroom is a woman, and it will be a less awkward situation.

What do transgendered people need to be forgiven of that other people don't? The Bible says that "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." It also says "Greater is he that is in me than he who is in the world" This means that every person on this earth has sinned, and there is no-one who is perfect. One person's sins are no greater or lesser than any other person's. What makes the difference is that Christians (and not the self-rightous pompous right-winged religious perverts like Pat Robertson, Jimmy Swaggert and Jerry Falwell) have asked Christ to live with them in their hearts, and to forgive them of their sins. Thus Christ is with them and he will always be with them. Once this has taken place all their past sins are forgiven, and that means they are washed away, never to be held against them again. This does not mean that a person will live perfect lives after their salvation, for we are all made of flesh and bones. The Bible says that the flesh is weak but the spirit is strong, so as long as we walk this earth we will never be perfect. That's why we must always keep the faith and our eyes on God the Father, God the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit. Then one day, when we are finally released from this weak humanly body we will be strong in our Heavenly spirit, and able to live perfectly for eternity with God.

That is a very difficult question. We know that God forgives us all if we truly repent for all our sins. The question is are transgender people actually committing a sin? If we are born with a disability, are we sinning to get it fixed by a doctor? The same goes with most deformities or illnesses. That is all acceptable until transgenderism comes into the picture. From what I gather, these people actually believe they are born in the body of the wrong gender. This is really something we can't disprove, except we do know that people can be born with various problems at times. Having not experienced it ourselves, it is very difficult to understand exactly what these people are going through. One thing for sure, it is certainly a frightening thought if it is true and I don't think we can really judge them ourselves. Only God knows the real truth.

All vertebrates are inherently female. Gender is determined by a chemical process.
What matters is a person's wisdom and goodness, not what the individual is on the outside.
The gender he or she chooses to be is a deeply personal decision involving the person's self image.
There is nothing about changing genders that requires "forgiveness". However, prejudice against gays and transgendered people *is* wrong -- that much is obvious.

DNA may not change, but considering what-all goes into the procedure, I think they're changed enough. An MTF friend of mine once asked me how I'd feel if I woke up with a penis. Of course I'd scream and cry and want to cut it the hell off!, I replied. She said now I knew how she felt for thirty years as a "man."
Men generally don't want to cut off their penises. Women generally don't want to cut off their breasts and have total hysterectomies, and we wouldn't be pleased to have facial hair. I have to think that the people who do want these things are sincere about feeling like members of the other gender!
As for the being forgiven bit, I don't see how they'd be treated any differently than someone who had her breasts enlarged or reduced, ears pinned back, nose altered, etc.

You're assuming they need to be forgiven. What 'sin' have they committed that they need forgiveness for?
And what about those that were born the wrong sex because of the mothers exposure to chemicals while pregnant or who were born with both sets of organs and the docs clipped the wrong ones before testing their DNA?

If a person humbles them self and turns to God thur faith in Christ they can be saved. Ok they sinned. They now repent, that's what matters. I have sinned a LOT. I repent I am forgiven, how do I know? Because Jesus promised me that He would.. I trust Him... If anyone will do that they will be forgiven too.... Jim

All things are forgivable but blasphemy...speaking against the Holy Spirit..Repentance ( a turn around) from the bad acts that God hates. One must stop doing the bad things and avoid them. It is not always easy! Prayer will be an important of repentance. Seeking help !

They have nothing to be forgiven for. I personally think mental health issues are involved so they deserve understanding rather than condemnation as sinners.
