I currently drive a J reg micra, so very basic. I have my eye on a M reg micra, nice system, tax and mot till next year 07/07. No rust, 3dr, mot passed only 2 mths ago so I'm guessing there should be nothing serious wrong with it. Drives really nicely, has 5 gears (i only have 4 at the moment), and a back wiper, air con and heating work. £550.
It's a really nice car, complete luxury compared to the one I have now.

But should i get it?

The only reason i may not seem so sure is because the car I have now is my first car and it is really reliable and dare i say it, i really like it.

I would keep your present car until it dies of old age, it obviously owes you nothing, by which time you should haved saved up enough for a better car.
I would be very suspicious of an old car with 10 months MOT left,
it smacks of suddenly discovering something expensive is about to go wrong.
If it is a good car, insist on having a new 12 months MOT certificate
before you buy.

Personally I wouldn't. Nothing wrong with those cars reliability wise but most Micra's are driven by people who's only joy left is polishing their coffin. They were based on the Mini for the exterior design but its a really boring car. If you really want one though you could do worse than that price

Nissan have jap engines and they like toyota are very good. It depends also on miles, owners and service. £550 does sound good but if in doubt spen 30 odd quid on getting a aa or rac inspection or a freind whos a mechanic

One word of advice?
Clean out your air con with a special cleaner sold by Hafords.
I do mine twice a year say September and April.
They are a source for smells and bacteria

Yes, the micra is a cracking little car. you've got one now, you want another so it must be your destiny to own it. Buy it.

Sounds good but i'ts 11 years old so be careful, the more gadgets you have the more there is to go wrong.

it sounds a good buy at a reasonable price.
but why shouldn't you buy it, there's obviously some thing about it making you doubt it. what's the cons of getting it?
good luck lol
