I've made cheese scones and I've followed the recipe to the letter including any allowances for it being gluten free and i don't have a dough i have a pile of stodge (which i'm now trying to cook but the outside is done and the inside is still soft).

Anyone else had similar experiences and found a way round it? I could kill for some decent pastry!!!

Yes I made a gluten free fruit cake once and although it was rather heavy in weight it tasted fine.

yes my mother uses that sort of flour all the time for her bread but it is always crispy on the outside and just about cooked in the middle
