There are hundreds of religions and they all believe that their's is the only way to get to heaven...What if some tiny little indian tribe out in the middle of bfe that prays to their rice cakes is the only one that has it right? Guess that would put all of the rest of us into a great big pile of screw-you huh?

Yes and everybody thinks their religion is the only true one. However, there is only one God and no others. When you worship the one true God you've got it right. The Bible is the only Book that has been in existance from the start of time. God personally wrote out the ten commanments. We live in evil times right now and so a lot of manmade religions are going to creep up. And if you are sincere pray about it and you will get an answer-to God not a rice cake!

Assuming there is only one god (which most organized religions do), and that that god is kind and benevolent (which most people believe their god to be), then that one kind and benevolent god ought to accept everyone who lives a good life and does not purposely hurt others, whether or not they prayed to him/her, rice cakes, or whatever.

Organized religion seems to me to be a tool for the weak -- people who cannot think for themselves, people whose insecurity is so great that they feel compelled to surround themselves with others who believe as they do and chastise those who do not. Personally, I wish more of these people were out in the middle of BFE, praying to rice cakes.

Yes it would, but then again what if say Biblical Christianity was right all along? What if it was true that the only way to God and heaven are through Jesus? Guess that would put many people in the same predicament, huh?

I think the main thing is to believe in God, I don't believe in organized religions! Take the Luthern religion for example, Martin luther was a Catholic Preist and started his own religion, so if your trying to hook up with God to go far back in time to the right church it can't be the Luthern, because he was a catholic! And the Catholic church, one time I was going with my mom, and the priest told me he would like to see me dress in a sport coat for mass, really an 94 degree day 12 oclock mass in a church with out air condition, I said I will be right back as soon as hell freezes over and the devil goes ice skating. Take the Tower of Power in California, the more you pay the closer you get, I never seen a brinks truck follow a funeral car yet! I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea, Good Question!

ur question is way cool.. i've ever thought of that once, but i didn't really took it seriously. believe it or not (it's really up to you..) I said this to myself, when I thought of that :
"I don't even care if Jesus wasn't the right God, I don't care if Jesus wasn't the real Saviour.. whoever He is.. whatever He is.. whatever He does... I will always follow Him."
wanna know why?

1. 'coz He's the only one I know as my God since I've just arrived in this world...
2. Because He's the one who I always hoped for when I had troubles...
3. because He's the one who made my mum's the greatest mum in the whole planet...
4. And I (it'll be a lie if I say I felt Him near me...) always know He's beside me eventough I didn't feel His presence(u know.. presence like feeling someone is behind u or those kinda things.. if that's happened, wouldn't it be scary??)...
5. and one last for sure, coz He's gonna be the one who I'll always follow. It's just goes like that..

maybe that's what you called 'faith'...
don't we need faith to believe in God?
in ANY god?

Look I believe in my way I don't need anyone for that

religion is BS. There is not one group out there that can trully prove that THEIR religion is right and the others are wrong. Never have proved it and never will. Religion is a money hording human creation to brainwash a people into your beliefs so that they can be mildly controlled. They say the bible is the truth and it is right, who says that, hmmmm, the bible itself which was written by man, hmmm, has to be right!!! Morons!!

I used to worry about this all the time, kept me up at night, yes, it did. But now I can sleep, for I have found the One and Only Truth: worship and adore the blueberry-banana smoothie, the embodiment of Perfect Male (banana) and Female (blueberry).

What if no religions are correct, not even the obscure Indian tribe?

A saving faith is belief in one God and living rightly.

Guess you forgot to read the Universal Theology of the New Jerusalem.
