I get that from my wife. Don't feel alone. Of course, beware of saying "I just don't have anything to say to you". That can be trouble. Been married 22 years and when i come home in a sh*t mood I prefer to be left alone. I explain this to my wife but 30 minutes I get "Are you sure it's not me you're mad at?".
Leave your husband...I'll leave my wife. We'll exisit in silence together honey. I won't even ask why you don't want to talk..okay?

Have you behaved that way before when you were mad at him?
Did you explain to him the reason you gave here for not speaking while on the way to his hometown? Are you not communicating sincerely and honestly with each other? It's a symptom of an unhealthy marriage!

The only time I don't talk to my husband is when I am too mad to speak clearly. It doesn't actually have to be mad at him, but I think it's pretty logical.

Maybe because you usually talk. They figure if you're doing something different from your usual, then something must be up. I talk non-stop, so on the odd occasion that I don't, you know I'm either sick, in pain, tired, or upset.

Because he can't read your mind. He is forced to guess how you are feeling. He is either reading your body language and you are putting out anger vibes or he is really bad at reading body language. Either way he sounds a little insecure. You can help him with that!

yes, sometimes you just don't have anything to say. if you are around someone everyday, you will eventually run out of things to talk about.
