True love. . .
Love is always patient and kind; it is never jealous. Love
is never boastful or conceited...
It is never rude or selfish...It does not take offense, and it
is not resentful.
Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins but
delights in truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to
hope, and to endure whatever comes.
~1 Corinthians 13:4-8
I haven't found him. . .yet
He hasn't found me. . .yet
But, I've seen it. . .I see it in unconditional and eternal devotion in my father and his wife's marriage. . .and it's wonderful to know that it's real, it's possible, and it's waiting out there for all of us.

Six years and counting. For me it's true love, for him it is too. As to whether it lasts "forever"...well...only the rocks live forever, as a Native American saying puts it, but if it lasts for a LONG human lifetime, I'll be more than satisfied, and at least as of now, I have no reason to doubt that this isn't the love of my life.

I thought i found true love, but I guess it was just one-sided. It lasted 4 years and I still love him even though we are not together. So i guess from my part it will last forever, but the relationship itself is gone.

That would be best answered by anyone that has hit thier 50th wedding anniversary , or higher. Personally, i've seen many elder couples that are head over heels for each other.

yes...I have found the love I have always desired in Christ Jesus, my Lord.
Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
