i'm looking for a flight from orange county/Lax area to Phoenix AZ

I have flown America West several times in the past, but not since they merged with the other airline. I never had any trouble, the flights were fine, the people were fine, and we got to our destination with no delays.
If they have an amazing fare from LA to Phoenix I would fly AW. It is such a short flight that you are much less likely to have problems, especially with delays, etc. Also, since PHX is their hub you won't have to change planes or anything else that might delay your flight and they will most likely have lots of flights to PHX from the LA area.

I used to be a travel agent. America West has seen better days. I have not flown them since they merged with US Airways. They were originally mostly in the Southwest with shorter routes. But with the merger and sometime before that they were doing trips across the US. To like Newark, Laguardia New York, BWI (Baltimore) they have atendcy to run late alot. You can probalbly get a pretty good fare but, you will have to stop and transfer somewhere. Phoenix, Texas etc.
For a short hop for a decent fare no big deal. Unfortunatley flying in general if you are not afrequent flier and have tons of miles to try to upgrade is no fun anymore. JetBlue from like Long Beach to east coast inexpensive an not too bad. they only have limited flights though so you may need to be flexible.

No I have never flowen them but:
American... Horibble airline. with horrible service.
British Airways... Pretty cool Airline
Jet Blue... Is the best on the planet, Cool airline and cool people.
EasyJet... It's an ok airline they sell you everything and little space.
United... Is better than American.
In Short American is one of the worst airlines out there.

No, they suck.
AW is a second-rate airline with rude, unprofessional people.
Unfortunately, they have some of the only routes I need, so I am forced to fly AW sometimes.

NOOOO They are not a good airline. I can't tell you how many delayed layovers and bad service I've had with them... as well as my friends and family. We fly Southwest and Delta. Southwest is my top pick.

Yes, they are a great Airline. Best part of it is...They have assigned seating and they are very helpful and Friendly. I would fly them in a heartbeat.

I flew with them twice. Once by choice. Nothing to brag about. Might as well go with Southwest.
