So I'm in college right now, and as most of you know, you get fed a lot in college. I eat a lot, right? So naturally you'd assume I'd be pooping a lot. Wrong. So my stomach has been feelign terrible, probably due to me not having a real poop in like 2 or 3 weeks. I try to go like several times a day but all that comes out is really loud fart (I'm sure my roomate and suitemates think I have diarhhea or something but it really the opposite.. I jus thav elike.. nothing!!!). It's been a while and it's really starting to creep me out. I eat salad almost everyday, often twice a day, and for the past week I've been eating some fruit everyday too. I'm starting to incorporate cereal in my breakfast now instead of just biscuits and gravy and eggs. Still.. nothing. I'm really freaked out by this because I don't want to get sick by it (if I can). What do I do??

Time for a laxative. If you don't abuse them, they won't hurt you. Try Correctol or Ex-Lax. Try not to be in a rush when you try to go. Take a book with you. You may also want to buy a prepackaged enema to soften your stool because it will be a bit painful coming out after so long. Drink more water, too. You could be dehydrated. If these don't work, do go see a doctor.
One thing I eat to stay regular (after you are back on track) is fig newtons. Oh, avoid eating so many carbs and cheese will also bind you up if you overdo it.

Are you drinking enough fluids? Try HOT prune juice...8 oz. of it. Cut down on biscuits, breads, potatoes, starches for a few days. Eat a lot of fruit and drink a lot of water. If you don't feel better, see a doctor. Then have him suggest foods that will keep you regular. The stress of college can cause digestive upsets. So can all the snacking college kids do.

If the prob is not running for a long time..drink lots and lots of water.atleast 3 lit every day.if u r facing this prob for a long time..have u tried any laxatives lately?try magnesia milk one teaspoon at night.it might help.it can be a case of intestinal obstruction or malabsorption.i would advice u to consult a gastroenterologist if the problem persists longer.

You need to eat a bran cereal and drink prune juice every morning. Take a laxative like Senacot or Ex Lax (just once) to get your system back on track and then eat a healthier diet.

2-3 weeks!!!!!!???!??!?! Stop eating for a day and take a couple of teaspoons of castor oil (check the label). There are flavor-corrected kinds if the normal version is too strong tasting. Stay home that day. If nothing comes out see a doctor.

First, get yourself a good laxative - "Milk of Magnesia" is a good brand. Then call your doctor. A couple of days not pooping isn't something to worry about, but a couple weeks could mean something serious. Hope this helps.

Try a gentle laxative to jump start your system and get it back on track. Then try to get more fiber. If it continues, I would see my doctor and find out if there is a problem...like IBS or spastic colon.....Good Luck !!!

Take a fiber supliment. Even if you're eating a healthy diet, you may not be getting enough fiber. If that doesn't work, see a Dr.
