From argos you can buy a shaver for dog grooming basically you want the biggest comb on the shaver and just apply all over the dog ,best thing for hair is not trim but to brush on a regular basis this will get most of the hairs .
i see you do brush but trimming will not stop the hair coming out if you get me.

Hi there, it all depends what type of coat your Parson has - rough, broken or smooth? Rough and broken coated Parsons should never be clipped or trimmed as it ruins the coat and can lead to skin problems, the coat would end up a wooly mess and difficult to manage. Rough and broken coats should only be handstripped, pulling the dead hair out from the root so that the new fresh hair can grow properly. This will seriously reduce the amount of hair being randomly shed. If your dogs coat is smooth then it should only require a good brush everyday to minimise hair drop. I would give the dogs breeder a phone and ask them the best way to handle the coat. A reputable Parson's breeder will be more than willing to give you all the help you ask for. Otherwise give the Breed Club a call and ask them for some advice. Here's the info:
PARSON RUSSELL TERRIER CLUB. Sec. Mrs R M Hussey Wilford. Tel No: 01905 821440
Good Luck
ps. trimming the coat will not stop the shedding. The same amount of hair will still come out, it will just be shorter and probably harder to brush off.

Yup he's a Jack Russell. I even have one besides! His mum and dad have been the two Jacks and he appears like this. can not see any Shih Tzu good factors in him in any respect if he's a bizarre bypass someplace down the line (Jack Shitz look diverse) and once you provide him a tub you are able to right now see under all that scruffy wirey hair he's a JRT all impressive! Oddly the only long haired out of the clutter all the others have been broken coats. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that to be truthful i could desire him to be a mongrel as he'd have lots much less issues than a pedigree or bypass-breed!

trimming the hair will not stop the shedding. She will simply shed shorter hair. Daily thorough brushing will help and buying a sticky roller will help remove the hair from your kids clothes.

Sure, any dog can be trimmed "lightly". A friend of mine was just telling me the other day that they trim their black lab for this same reason, to help with the shedding problem. It will grow back!

If you trim the length of the hair... you're just gonna have shorter hairs to clean up and just as many as before. Of course the hair will grow back... even if taken down really short.

Take her to the groomer. Some of them offer a shed bath that will slow the shedding to a minimum.

Yes I regularry cut out Shitzu cross with some scissors, this keeps his hair out of his eyes and stops it getting too long and tangles/ dreadlocks.
Just be patient with your dog if its the first time its been clipped and have fun.
