I have 2 parakeets..thats what they do is squawk. Thats how they communicate. Its perfectly normal,,,,but yes it can get very irratating. make sure they are fed and clean water and cage is cleaned,,,,they might just be trying to tell you they need something.

It depends on the breed of bird you own. some are like people and they like to hear themselves talk. some crave attention. we used to have a lot of birds and they would get excited when we had people over. they are very social creatures.

some likes to be noisy. when you get tired of it or when you go to sleep, put a blanket over the cage.
