how long will beer last...?

un-opened, and refrigerated, i've heard it will only last around 30 or 40 days, is this true? I thought it would last longer.

If kept in a cool place (and dark if in light colored bottles) it can keep a long time, several months at least. Since you are keeping it refrigerated I think you've got at least six months before there is any noticable difference. Even after that the deterioration will probably only be noticable if you are an expert or if you are tasting a fresh beer at the same time to compare.

Unless it is bottle conditioned it won't get better with time. So why wait, drink it up.

In my hands beer lasts around 5-10 minutes LOL

But in serious answer to your question; beer doesn't keep.

The can should have a sell-by date on it and that is the guide you should follow.

I have always been told 6 months if kept at the same temperature. So if it has been chilled don't store it at room temperature afterwards. Once it goes into the fridge, don't store it anywhere else except your belly!

There's a date on them now....check that first but it does last much much longer than 40 days......Good Luck!

if you take those big beer holders they use at the beerfest in germany every year...now if beer stands still in that thing, you will have to through it away within less than a week...

for best flavor drink within 30 days, if you don't mind stale tasting it can last up to 3 months. after that, i would not drink it.
