this abomination of law will never pass the house, thank goodness. But we must keep a close watch that in the hurry to tighten our borders that that bill doesn't get tacked on to another bill and slip thru.We need good laws but we must be ever vigilant to the acts of some members of the government still pandering to the Mexican vote.My biggest fear after that is the attempt to reward the illegals for being criminals by granting whole sale blanket amnesty. That must not happen. What kind of message does that send other illegals.?That in America, you get rewarded with citizenship if you commit a crime. That's ludicrous to me.

This is sooo hysterical on so many levels. Again, common sense has gone by the wayside. Is Social Security not a benefit for American citizens? And all I'm hearing is about how there will be NO Social Security left when I reach retirement age, so how are we now going to extend this benefit when the system is SUPPOSEDLY going broke? Everyone watch what will happen...Americans citizens will be turned down for THEIR social security benefits so that illegal aliens can collect benefits they have no right to. This country better get it's sh** together before it's too late, if it isn't already. Common sense, my Friends, common sense.

Yes, but the house did not okay it.
What they really want to do, but don't want to say, is find a way for the illegal aliens to pay into the social security system without them getting anything out. They want to get this ball rolling before social security falls apart entirely, which won't happen until Medicare crumbles...or so I'm told.

They passed that as part of an overall immigration bill in the spring, but the House dug its feet in and refused to bring it to a vote. That bill is dead, but the House is going to try to get border security, and it is possible some Senators may try to put provisions into the House bill. Who knows what, though. It would likely just kill the Bill, and not get anything passed, though.

I swear if that ever happens, I will go over the edge. That would be the final slap in the face towards America and Americans. Like it's not enough that we provide their food stamps and wic and any other handouts they don't pay in to. grrrrr
