ED - or Ectodermal Dysplasia is a rare genetic disorder that means you don't sweat - in other words your body overheats because it's in-built cooling system is not working.

This is a genetic disorder - you can not get it by giving blood.

Donating blood is very safe - all the instruments used are sterile and only a pint at a time is taken (two pints a year). You can't catch any disease by giving blood.
