they have got to be fake, because there are people that have tried it and if they were making the bank those commercials claim, it would spread like wildfire throughout the country

There are countless fakes, especially the "get rich quick" schemes. You know the ones, sit and stare at your monitor and we will make you rich ..... ain't gonna happen.
A true Internet business requires planning and effort to market it, not to mention the right product(s) with the right credentials, within a good strong market area. A patented product is always a super bonus ... and a consumable product helps.
I am no entrepreneur, I was just very lucky to stumble across a business opportunity which works (with plenty of effort). The wife-type-thing and myself are enjoying a great way of life, and we wouldn't turn the clock back.
So, yes, there are certainly home based industries that do work, and pay extremely well. If you want some information, feel free to contact me - but only if you serious and a good listener please.
All the very best, hope you find what you are looking for.

I work at home and make great money, except I actually work for a company out of North Carolina not some homebased business, I agree that if you could make money off that everyone would be doing it.

Almost all of them are either fake, or real but require more work than is worth it for the pay that you "might" get.
I wouldn't waste my money on anything I found on the internet claiming to be a work at home and make lots of money scheme.
Here are the 2 basic rules to Work-At-Home schemes..
1) If it seems to good to be true then it probably is.
2) If they want any amount of money from you up front, then it's a scam.

I was just looking into some of these yesterday... the most legit I could find still required a $40 fee to find out what you were going to be doing... it's refundable (except $10 postage).. but after 90 days... that's where they make the cash!!!
I worked for a newspaper advertising department for 6 years and we got dodgy stuff like this all the time... we wouldn't print them unless they could prove they were legitimate!!
Be VERY careful...

Ok to answer your question #1 you're in the wrong category and #2 you should research online say under Google for legit home based work because most of these businesses that pop up online are not legit and some are a complete rip off. I can suggest one that's legit even though there's a price to it it's called SMC and you can start a legitimate home based business.

Some of them do work, I am currently doing one now. I work it about 10 hours a week, and earn between $1,000 and $1500 a month part time. It depends on how much time you can put into it. I could make more if I had more time to invest. It really depends on which business you go into. I have found the right one!

Most of them are fake. A lot of people do the work and invest their money. Very few make the money. The ones who make the money are the ones who charge to set up the business for you.

Most are fake, a scam. Be careful, I nearly got caught in an illegal scam and had to have my bank account suspended and transfer my direct debits, standing orders etc to another account.
