It becomes a felony at that point with severe sanctions. He probably lost his license for a year or two already so he shouldn't have to worry about a DUI until he gets his driving privilege again.

Your question should be, "How did I ever get involved with this tragedy waiting to happen?" You marry this guy and you will be legally responsible for the lawsuits that come from his killing someone. What is wrong with you that you seem not to be concerned except that he might go to prison or the looney bin? Do you drink? Have you just lucked out and you feel an affinity toward him because of your problems? And finally, if this is not a made up, ha, ha, question, then why would you want to suffer the anger every one answering will throw at you?
Oh, you guys who just answered the question and gave her some legal advice: You don't have a moral compass. And that is very sad for you.

Your question implies that it is just about certain that this dude WILL get a third dui. WTF is wrong with a guy who hasn't learned his lesson from the first TWO dui's?????!!!

Dunno', but this begs the question: a guy who gets two dui's actually still has a woman that hangs with him?? And you, dear girl, why aren't you giving this guy the boot like any intelligent girl oughta' do??

Grow a brain. And some backbone, while you're at it. Ditch this loser.

Good night, and good luck. Col. Kurtz

You'll leave him for being a drunken idiot putting other drivers at risk. you'll find a nice man to marry who doesn't wake up with beer breath every morning. Or the other thing. If he gets one more DUI, he will probably blame you and in his drunken stupor beat the S_ _ _ out of you, kick your dog and make you pay the fines and when he gets out of jail, off probation, all fines are paid and he has his driver's license back, he will leave you. One of these 2 things will happen. You pick.

The third DUI usually results in severe penalties, but it varies by State. You can look up the penalty on your State's DMV or Secretary of State's website.

I think it depends on the state.

But if I were you I'd strongly reconsider, because if he's your fiance it means that one day he could be your husband, and if you're stuck with a husband who collects DUI's that sounds like the beginning of a lot of trouble.

Does he still have a license? Iam surprised if he does and would also beunhapy if he does. When you are asking what will happen if he gets one more it sounds as if he is still drinling and driving. If so he should be locked up and his license burned and never be able to get another one. I have a problem with people who think it is okay to drink and drive. They kill innocent people. Do you ridw with him when he is drinking? Would you allow your child to ride with him under the influence? Think about these things instead of what will happen to him what will happen to others?

Sounds like he has a drinking problem. Hook him up with AA then dump him cause he keeps making the same mistake and expects different results. This is a fair warning about how your life with him will be.

Read the book, "Women who love too much". This will save you years of heart ache.

BTW....how would you like to have to drive him everywhere he wants to go for the rest of your lives? Or, would you like to see him walking or riding a bike everywhere? This is your future if you don't take my advice.

My apologies that you have to marry a drunk. I hope you have the internal fortitude to live with his irresponsible behaviour well into the future hun..

Just remember.. it is your decision to marry him.. bad behaviour before wedlock is just a glimpse of what it will be like in the future.

If I was you I would not choose to measure such an irresponsible person.

Hopefully he will lose his license and get some help, he obviously has an alcohol problem.

If he is driving under the influence he could kill himself or someone else, do not let him ruin a life...don't let him drive or call the police if he refuses to listen!
