What is an astrologer? It is someone who predicts events or developments : a person credited with extraordinary moral and spiritual insight or: one that practices divination especially by concentrating on a glass or crystal globe

What is the history of astrology? The study of astrology and the belief in it, as part of astronomy, is found in a developed form among the ancient Babylonians; and directly or indirectly through the Babylonians, it spread to other nations. It came to Greece about the middle of the 4th century B.C., and reached Rome before the opening of the Christian era.

How does God feel about astrology? Read these verses at Isaiah 47:12-14-- "Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail. Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it."

Astrology is something detestable to God---Christians should have nothing to do with it. It is not harmless.

I thought I would give you some feed back, because I had asked about this so many times. Ever since I was a kid. Now I can only tell you where all these Questions led to at some point in time. There are Millions of Galaxy's, and it made me wonder at the time this all was taught or realized. our ability to notice or discover what planets and so forth that this study and teaching is based on with such Faith. I always wondered what would happen if something more were found like another planet??? and recently on the news they said " that Pluto was not a planet" so what does this do to the persons astrology chart?? I say No we are better off trusting instincts and science/and quantum physic's. But again what ever people trust, if it works and it makes them happier, then that's all good too. My take on this is personal. And it comes from a little girl, now an Older women.. (smile)

Interesting question. Lets see - Can you trust ANYTHING?

Disclaimer - what you read in the newspapers or magazines is NOT astrology - it is useless - I am talking about serious astrology, based on specific data, like a birth horoscope, that takes date, time and location of the person into consideration.

OK - here is my take on Astrology - a serious astrologer will not tell you what is in your future as in specific events. He will tell you certain tendencies and lets say certain 'tasks or lessons' that will be in your path - it is up to you how, or if you chose to deal with them.....

In general it can be said that Astrology is sort of an 'empirical science', where people noticed certain tendencies if certain constellations were present. See, Astrology does not claim that stars influence the earth - the stars are merely a repeating indicator that is there all the time and visual to everybody - kind of like a clock - nobody will claim the hands of the clock will influence your life, but at the same time it does not change the fact that when both hands are on the 12 you start to feel kind of hungry every day...... same with the stars... since they were visible to everybody over the centuries people started noticing things that seemed to form patterns....and they started to write it down and started to interpret things.....

so basically (serious) Astrology is a collection of serveral thousands of years of collected data interpreted into a certain system that can help you find some guidance - will it always work? No- but then again the bible tells you that a believer can drink poison - should you try that one? Don't think so.....

For me... it adds an another dimension to the things I am looking at.....

If Stars And Planets Destine Your Life,I Don't Find Any Correlation. Astrology Is Not Science,Its Not Until The Standard International Says So,And It Is taught In In Tech As Well As Arts And Science Colleges With AICTE Affiliation. In Countries With Western Culture Divorce Rates Are High Because Lower Commitment, This Too Due To The Birth Of Free Love Concept After Sexual Revolution And Hippie Movement In 70s And 80s. Divorce Rates Are Low Here Because Of Little Knowledge Of Law Among people Due To Illiteracy And Low Social Participation. And As Some Says Due To Blackmail Like Acid Throw,Domestic Violence And The Most Important Part Children,Women Say"I Don't Want My Children To Suffer Without A Father". You Are Saying Illogical Arguments That Just Makes Me Puke...... Dear,Please Don't Believe **** That Conservative People Say....

Astrology may sound good as a Postmortem report. Definitely not as a diagonastic report.

Can you say a incidence where something is saved from Astrology . I am particularly speaking about horoscope (which is a part and parcel of Astrology). If you believe in astrology, you will also believe in Ramayan & Mahabarat.

No Indian women (especially) will like to undergo what sita said to have gone thru. If so, what was the great sages doing when Rama's marriage was arranged with Sita. weren't theirs horoscope matched. weren't they aware of all the struggle rama & sita have to undergo ?

Similarly even in mahabarat. Nothing could be saved.

Whether you have astrology or not. Each one of us have to undergo what we are destined to. Nothing in the world can stop this.

Well anyone who has ever actually read anything on it will (if they are being honest) tell you that there is some truth to it....there are some that assume it is against relgion and will immedieatly say it is wrong. However, it is just a pattern and a lot can be learned from it if studied. It does take an open mind and the ability to accept that there are many wonderful things in this universe that we simply do not fully grasp yet.

Yes you can trust it - but NO I would not devote my life it it!

From ancient Babylon, astrology spread throughout the earth.
Egypt went in for it in a big way, and by the 6th century B.C. astrology was deeply rooted among the Greeks.
Ancient Rome was a thriving metropolis for astrology.
“The lower the Romans sank in religion and morals,”
says The Catholic Encyclopedia,
“the more astrology became entwined with all action and belief.”
However, the God of the Bible condems it.

Astrology is not a science. Astronomy is. I wouldn't put much stock in astrology. My horoscopes are never right.

Astrology is meant to be a source of entertaiment (if you look at newspapers, online and magazine) astrology is always listed on the entertaiment section... so let it entartain you and distract you don't let it rule your life.

When I incorporated astrology into my psychic coaching practice it was paramount for me to be able to ‘cut to the chase’. If you are an astrology junkie like me, being told you have Asteroids in Uranus isn’t really what you want to know. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/astrology-junkie.html
