I don't understand. Everytime I start to feel like I'm getting over my ex and I start to talk to someone new he shows back up again. This weekend I went out, and met a new guy who wanted to call me, so I gave him my number. I hadn't talked to my ex in a month, and I thought I was doing great and ready to see where something could go with someone new. But last night he called and we talked for 45 minutes like nothing was wrong, he even talked about stuff between us 20 years from now. Why does he do this to me?

Fact from fiction, truth from diction. You have never really given up. Just told yourself that because it seem as if he dumped you. There is no rule to say you have to take him back. He only comes back when the action elsewhere gets slow because HE KNOW HE CAN. If you went to work and knew you could be late and not get fired are you going to be there on time everyday? Or even early? So long as he know the door is never closed, he knows he can leave, do whatever, and always come back. YOU are doing more to you on not getting on than he is.

Pretty obvious he likes stringing you along. He wants to make sure you don't date anyone, so just in case he can't find anyone he'll run back to you. Then he'll most likely leave you for someone else and start the cycle over again.

Next time he calls, don't answer. You should start dating other guys that aren't into playing games with you

Get a backbone and tell him you need your space. Why do you let him get to you? Cut all ties with him or you'll never be able to move on.

Good Luck.

Because he sensed you were moving on with your life without him.
Lots of men are like that they don't necessarily want you but they don't want you with anyone else either.

You know he may have some unresolved feelings for you in his heart. He may be confused but he may sense that you're over him.

A bigger question, why do you allow him to do this?
