No - peppers, like tomatoes and cucumbers are a fruit.

Nah. If they were a vegetable then people could not make jalapeno pepper jelly from them because you can only make a jelly from a fruit.

In real life they are a fruit from a pepper bush, even though most people treat them as vegetables (just like people do with cucumbers, pumpkins, squash, and eggplants)

tomatoes, peppers and chillies are all fruit.
Anything with seeds inside are fruit, apart from bananas which are herbs

Squash, zucchini, cucumbers, eggplant, okra...all are veggies and all produce seeds. If plants didn't prioduce seeds in the "fruit" they bear, there would cease to be plants.
