Then I can read what it says for myself and not have to listen to others rantings which may or not be misguided. I am curious as to how it differs from the Bible.

That is an intelligent approach - I commend you for it.

To be sure you are putting things in context, I recommend you download (free) TAFSIR IBN KATHIR , which is classical commentary of the Quran. So, for each verse is a corresponding explanation and tying it in with other verses.

Make sure u dont get the jihadist version of the KORAN which inaccurately has rewritten portions to make it OK to do things that the original script specifically forbade.

Make sure also, that u dont use NIV to compare since it too is somewhat too loosely translated.... Use KJ for compare.

If possible use the original language to compare, which is in fact the most accurate way to do this.

While all of these are in different languages, its a well known fact that even the english translations of KJ was misapplied.
I presume KORAN is same story.

Thank ! Well, whoever ! for some common sense. However, when you've finished reading it, you should compare it with the bible (Old Testament to the xtians) and the Talmud, after which you'll see where mohommed plagiarised most of it.

Translating the Koran is blasphemous. That is why Muslims of the world are being misguided by mullahs(ministers).

I recommend the following Word document as it contains 8 different translations - Very useful when you want to evaluate claims about what the Qur'an says from either non-Muslims *or* Muslims:

But it's better to read the original Arabic Quran, but if you can't learn Arabic it's ok to read it in English.
GOD bless you.
