Yes, but for myself and my private beliefs. I try to be Christ like (as much as is humanly possibly) and pray by myself. If I can help I will do so. I ask for Gods forgiveness and his assistance in my life. I try to follow His road.

To me this is Christianity.

I'm a Christian because I choose to be so. I've learned some things about a few other religions and they just didn't work for me. God proved who He was over and over again. I believe His word because they're the only words that can make me look at myself and realize I need a savior, that I can't live this life in victory without one. I know the bible is right because it tells what was, what is, and what's to come and I believe it with my whole heart. I may not can explain everything, but I don't have to. We'll never know everything in this life. I do believe that in time, all things will be revealed. If you ever come in contact with the Lord, you'll never be the same again. Believe that!

I was raised a Christian, but am now an Atheist.

My father married a zealot when I was young. She sang in a gospel band, my stepbrother is a minister (there are actually 3 ministers in my family) and my stepmother's stepfather occasionally makes an appearance on one of the Sunday morning broadcasts. He's not a televangelist, but he knows them and works with them.

Anyway, after they married, we went from being a laid back, relaxed happy family to one that lived only for the church. All aspects of our lives were centered around worship and prayer. You'd have to be there to really understand it, but everything we had ever known changed. And it changed in such a way that I started to question and rebel.

Well, in this family, dissention was met with violence. The more violent the altercations became, the stronger my resolve in wanting no part of it.

I didn't have the fear of God beaten into me like they had hoped. Rather, I started questioning everything and found myself to be an Agnostic. After years of searching for the truth, I came to the conclusion that God doesn't exist. And I became an Atheist.

I feel it's ironic that their grand plan backfired as it did. I have 4 siblings, and we have all become Atheists. The only people of faith in my family are on my stepmother's side.

They were raised with it, and it's all they know. And in trying to convert me to their way of thinking, they drove me and four others away.

No. Too much of Christianity is just too silly for me to believe in literally. And, the extremely negative behavior of so many Christians-- particularly Fundamentalists-- makes me not want to belong to any Christian church.

No I'm not. I fail to see how any god would allow the things to happen that are currenlty going on now in our world. I understand the free will aspect of why god wouldn't but I don't find that a real excuse.

Plus some Christians I've met take it a bit too far, plus religion's "messages" are used far too much as reasons to start wars.

certainly not a Christian. I'm Wiccan, a white witch.

I don't point fingers and say who's wrong and who's right. I worship in my own way as I see fit and everyone else can do whatever floats their boats religiously too. I think its all about tolerance. As long as it works and doesn't hurt anyone else, then no biggie.

To quote the film Dogma, losely i think, not exactly:
No one religion has got it right yet. It's not what you believe, its THAT you believe.

I was but not now because I found that Jesus escaped death at the crucifixion and fled to INDIA and is buried there. In that case everything about Christianity is not true, I also found out that Adam and Eve story is not true either because it only goes back 6000 yrs, Indians invented cloth by then.

i am not a christian though i do believe he existed and was a really stand up guy and the son of god as we all are his children, but i hate the pushiness of modern Christian's and the brainwashing techniques used to convert people. i choose to worship and exercise my spiritual soul in private with me and god and i learn from the actions of people around me. i will never be a zombie following scripture without questioning any thing. God gave me a brain and i choose to use it.

Yes, I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of virgin birth, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from where he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. AMEN.
I believe this because it is the only thing that makes any sense. Oh and a side note to those that think that they need to have proof to believe in something, do you have proof there is no God? and that Christianity is false?
