I used to sing my kids old bad country and western songs like Mama Tried, Truckstop Girl, Mama Hated Diesels So Bad, etc. Truckstop Girl was their favorite:

The best 'lullaby song' for over 2 years old is the fairy tale(trust me,that's the best you can 'sing').If it's about a baby,the best is the one you've 'composed',the one only you know and it would be your song(your and the baby's).

try DEAR JESSE it is by Madonna I know we do not think of her for a lullaby but it is really good been singing it since I was pregnant the first time sweet song !!!!

Faith Hill. A wish for you is an awesome song to sing to a child. Mine are 6 and 8 and this is my song to them. They even had me print off a copy of the lyrics.
