My childs father was in the army and i don't know how to find him.

If he's no longer in the army, it makes it a bit harder. The only record they may have as to whereabouts now is when he was discharged, where his home of record was at that time. Unless he's currently on reserve status or retired it may be tough

Yes, my mother found my brother who was in the Army. She successfully used THE RED CROSS to find him. Good luck!

military.com. Even if he is no longer in the service, alot of ex military members belong to this site.

You ring up the service he was in and ask to talk to the personnel staff. Then you explain why you want to get a hold of him and hope like hell they give you info.

You might try Military.com. It seems to me that they had some kind of finder service on their website.
